Reebok International

A class action lawsuit claims that Reebok violated the law by asking store customers for phone numbers and other information. California law disallows retailers to request personal information from its credit card customers and it bars store employees from asking for phone numbers. The Consumer Group Privacy Rights Clearinghouse states that merchants should not be permitted to acquire marketing lists from consumers' credit card transactions.
