Fred Meyer

Class action status is being sought in for lawsuit filed against Fred Meyer grocery stores on behalf of customers who purchased meat, seafood and poultry from the stores. The suit alleges that through the practice of weight manipulation, the company overcharges customers on these items by small amounts that likely add up to an estimated $1 million a year. The suit further charges that the company has continued this illegal practice even though they have been ordered to stop by the state of Oregon.
