The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against the restaurant chain alleging gender discrimination by not promoting women to top management positions. The lawsuit was filed in US District Court in Denver and claims Outback refused to let women work as managers in its kitchens at 23 restaurants in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. The suit claims less qualified men were promoted to proprietors, a management level position that entitles the employee to share in store profits.
