Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and its parent firm, Johnson & Johnson Co. on behalf of former employees of Ortho-Clinical. The suit alleges that the company failed to give the plaintiffs the severance pay that was owed to them, as per an agreement presented to employees as they leave the company that outlines severance pay and benefits. The suit claims that the companies are in violation of the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and it seeks the severance pay, interest and punitive damages.
