A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the lottery corporation on behalf of all persons who purchased lottery tickets since 1975, but never won. Because there is no way for people to know if they lost winnings due to a theft or fraud by a lottery retailer, lawyers for the plaintiffs propose that the lottery corporation hold a free lottery over a six-month period for $1.1 billion. The lawsuit claims players have been defrauded or misled over the past 30 years.
