A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Oklahoma Transportation Authority on behalf of an estimated 400,000 people. The suit was filed in regards to the state's PikePass program, which the suit alleges has been overcharging customers for over a decade. The suit claims that the overcharges were incurred due to a glitch in the way Pikepass electronically records trip data. The glitch, called "force match transmission," makes it seem like customers enter and leave the turnpike at the same location, billing them as though they traveled the maximum distance from the point of entry to the end of the turnpike.
