Mowhawk Industries
Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against carpet manufacturer Mohawk Industries on behalf of employees. The suit alleges that the company has "knowingly and recklessly" hired thousands of illegal aliens causing the company "to depress the wages that it pays all its hourly employees." The suit seeks to represent the thousands of hourly employees who have worked for the company during the past four years. The suit is seeking monetary damages, attorney's fees, an order to prevent the company from "engaging in violations of the law," and a return of profits gained from the "unlawful" practices.
