A class action lawsuit has been filed against the supplier of computer anti-virus programs for allegedly denying former employees the chance to exercise stock options. The suit was filed in US District Court in San Jose and claims McAfee stopped issuing new shares under its stock option plans and therefore prevented employees from exercising their earned and vested stock options. The suit seeks to represent all current and former McAfee employees who received stock options but were unable to exercise them because of the company's decision.
