Maru Bakery & Wholesale of Dallas has recalled Elsa Kolo Roasted Barley because it contains undeclared peanuts. The Food and Drug Administration revealed the presence of peanuts in packages of roasted barley. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product. The recalled roasted barley was sold in 3 ounce, ½ pound, 5 pound and 10 pound clear plastic bags, with or without labels, in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Columbus, Ohio. The bags with labels identify the product as Elsa Kolo Roasted Barley. The product also was distributed in bulk, 88 pound white bags labeled "Maru Import & Export Dallas, Texas U.S.A. Item Elsa Kolo."
