A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status on behalf of timeshare holders alleging fraud. The complaint claims timeshare owners were told the resort would see vast improvements over the following five years and that they could trade their timeshare week for other resorts. However, their ability to trade their week for another resort has been suspended and the building has only deteriorated over the years. The ceilings of the McAfee hotel and country club are covered with mold, the doors are sprayed with graffiti, sinks have fallen off the walls, cars are abandoned in the parking lot, and nails are protruding from walls and floorboards.
