The chain of grocery stores servicing mainly Latino customers, allegedly denied overtime to several former and current employees. The class action lawsuit also claims the store owners seldom allowed its workers 10 minute rest breaks and 30 minute meal breaks as stipulated under the California labor law. California's wage and hour laws state that employees are entitled to be paid one hour of additional wages for every missed break and hourly workers are to be paid 1.5 times their normal rate of pay for any hours worked in excess of eight in a day, or in excess of 40 hours in a week.
