Santa Clara, CA: Kraft is facing consumer fraud class action lawsuit filed by two California residents who allege the food manufacturer misrepresents one of its cheese products, namely its Parmesan cheese. According to the suit, Kraft advertises its grated Parmesan cheese product as being 100 percent Parmesan cheese. However, the lawsuit states, the product is not 100 percent cheese but, in fact, contains at least 3.8 percent cellulose, a filler made from wood pulp.
Filed by Adam Weiss and Patty Morelos, individually and for all others similarly situated, against The Kraft Heinz Company, the complaint alleges breach of express warranty and violation of California's Business & Professions Code and its Consumer Legal Remedies Act.
Weiss, Morelos, and others in the are represented by attorneys Timothy G. Blood, Thomas J. O'Reardon, II, and Camille S. Bass of Blood Hurst & O'Reardon in San Diego, David R. Markham and Peggy J. Reali of The Markham Law Firm in San Diego, and Walter L. Haines of United Employees Law Group in Huntington Beach, California.
The case is US District Court for the Central District of California Southern Division Case number 8:16-CV-00605-D

This is so disgusting. I'm ill and not allowed to eat wood pulp. I'M NOT A TERMITE. Neither are you all! Now I buy my Parmesano Reggiano at Costco. Way better and cheaper.

This product has been at my table 3times a week for years, and the nerve to sell wood pulp is discounting.

I feel very disgusted to know I was harming my body by putting wood fillers in it. I am scared to know what else they are putting in there Kraft products? Do these companies care they are feeding is poison?? I am appalled and feel very violated. Is there anything that can be done about this? I am using Seargento brand for now on they seem to be selling authentic non poisonous cheese.

So horrible, have used their products for years. Unhappy to know I've been putting wood fillers inside my body without being made aware of it.

I and all of my kin have used this product since childhood and I'm over 50 now. What other companies have deceived and poisoned us for decades?
