Kenneth's Fine Jewelry
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Kenneth's Fine Jewelry of Framingham, Massachusetts, and the store's owner Kenneth Powers. The suit was filed by an Ashland woman who claims that her 1.86 carat diamond valued at around $14,700 was replaced with a smaller, lesser quality diamond. The woman read reports of possible fraud and larceny which may have occurred at the jeweler, and had her diamond ring appraised by Cape Cod Independent Jewelry Appraisers in South Dennis to find out that her diamond was worth substantially less than the nearly $15,000 she paid for it. Several other women have claimed that their diamond engagement rings were replaced with cubic zirconia stones, and the suit seeks to represent anyone who feels they may have been a victim of this scam.
