Several men allege they were molested and abused by priests when they were altar boys and students at a variety of parishes in the Joliet Diocese. These men have filed a class action lawsuit which intends to force Bishop Joseph Imesch, head of the Joliet diocese, to disclose the names of all priests accused of sexually abusing minors.
Two of the men allege they were molested by the Rev. Larry Mullins and a third cites physical abuse by the Rev. Anthony J. Ross. The claims bring the number of lawsuits pending against the diocese to at least nine, including one class action. Each of the new lawsuits seeks more than $50,000 in damages.
