The largest tax resolution company is being accused of breach of contract and fiduciary duty. The company claims to help people out of financial hardships, but its customers are claiming unfair service charges and incurred penalties and interest on their debt. JK Harris claims to solve Internal Revenue Service problems, yet the Better Business Bureau has compiled over 300 complaints against the company. (Jan-26-05)

I was a victim.
I received 2 checks for $16.00
What is going on with this class action case against J.K.Harris.
Those checks I received in 2008 and 2009.
Ridiculous.

I received absolutely no service, and the company has still to date all my tax issue records, although they claim they no longer possess them. Not only did I pay 80% of the required fee for their service, I have gained nothing, and lost several years of tax documents. I can no longer go to another tax rep. because I no longer have original documents.

I have paid JK Harris over $13,572.81 from 10/19/05 to the present. They promised to help me to get an offer in compromise for some back taxes I owed. Every month I would call them and get no response. If I reached someone, a new person was assigned to my case every time and would act like they didn't know anything about my case. They would occasionally ask for paper work that I had faxed three times before. I constantly asked if there was anything I should be doing. They would assure me to relax and let them take care of the IRS. Meanwhile, more money kept being taken out of my checking account. Then recently, (May 22), one of my savings accounts was taken by the IRS. I lost my savings! I called JK Harris and they didn't know anything about it. Once again they started asking for paper work all over again that had been sent to them over and over. Finally, my representative suggested I get all my money out all my accounts now. It was the safest thing to do. I have now hired a CPA to help. He is getting my papers and debts in order. He is now my power of attorney. The IRS has informed him that no one from JK Harris has ever contacted the IRS in over 1.5 years!
What can I do? Do I have any options?

I am interested in suing JK Harris if possible. I am down to my last 2 payments to thier company and have recently found out upon inquiry wiht the IRS to check on the status of my offer in compromise that none has been submitted on my behalf which is what I paid JK Harris for. I have called them over the past two weeks, multiple times a day and no one is ever available to speak to me nor does anyone ever return my calls. I am furious that I have paid them well over $2500.00 in what seems for naught.
