A class action lawsuit has been filed against the developer alleging contract fraud. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a group of homeowners in Saskatoon against Jastek Master Builder, who signed contracts with nearly 50 people to build a condominium development. A few months later, prospective buyers note they got letters in the mail explaining that Jastek was abandoning the development because the company could not get a development permit.
The lawsuit claims Jantek was involved in breach of contract and breach of agreement. Perspective home buyers are devastated as their money has been tied up in a non-existant development while the real estate market skyrocketed 41% in the last year.
