Date websites like this do not investigate the mens profiles. They just take your money and there is no protection.

I have been contacted by so many scammers and I have so many names. From the first one that started hitting to the last. It is time to stop these sites from hurting innocent individuals with their tactics and falsehoods.

I cancelled my subscription and they still took the money out of my account. They refuse to let me speak to a supervisor or issue the refund even though I gave them proof of cancellation. They then disconnected the chat with me which I printed.

It may be too late but I too receive winks chat and emails from closed accounts. I doubt there are any "Happy Success stories". How can consumers fight back? My account is now closed, and I am out money for the entire 6 months. Not enough to file a lawsuit, but you just want them to get the heck out of America and peddle their wares someplace else. Stop using lonely singles to make your money Match.com!

they just shut me off, because, I made a query about my bill. They have made up a fictional character and registered it as my personal account.

These were not individuals scamming for money, I believe it was the site sending me fraudulent "winks". I got two winks with the same picture, different profiles. The only winks I received were from profiles that, when I went to see their profile, I got a message "sorry sometimes even dating is hard, profile not available". I finally then got a wink which returned a profile when clicked, I paid for the service and responded with an email, and as I was doing this I went back to the profile to get some detail and got the message again"sorry sometimes dating is hard..."

Cancellation of my account and refusal to reinstate or refund unused membership subscription. I received an email stating that I have violated the terms of the agreement; however, they refuse to discuss the details without a subpoena.
