Department of Homeland Security and the FBI

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of a group of Muslim and Arab-Americans, alleging the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have infringed on civil rights by unlawful harassment due to the terrorist watch list. The suit, which was filed in Federal District Court in Chicago, claims that repeated border detentions and improper actions of border guards violate the plaintiffs' constitutional protection against unreasonable search and seizure and their right to travel.
