Hilton Hawaiian Village's Kalia Tower
Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Hilton Hawaiian Village's Kalia Tower on behalf of hotel guests. The suit claims that approximately 10,000 guests should be reimbursed for room rents they paid to stay at the hotel before it was closed because of mold growth. The suit further alleges that the hotel was aware of the extensive mold problem "shortly after" the hotel opened in May 2001.
