A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the makers of HeadOn headache pain reliever alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation, as well as violations of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act and the Business and Professions Code. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angels Superior Court and claims Miralus Inc. products are not safe or effective. HeadOn products contain potassium bichromate, a chemical known to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity, and white bryony, classified by the Department of Agriculture as a noxious weed.
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has concluded there is no competent and reliable scientific evidence supporting HeadOn's claims as a safe and effective headache pain reliever.
