A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Hamilton County, Ohio coroner's office. The suit was filed on behalf of families who had the body of their relative released before the autopsy was finished, and therefore some of the body parts were not released. The suit claims that the doctors did not tell the plaintiffs that they were still working on an organ, and therefore the body would be buried without it.
