A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status claiming former Global Horizons' workers quit their jobs after a short time and then collected unemployment compensation even though they were illegal immigrants. The lawsuit was filed in US District Court in Spokane and claims the workers violated racketeering laws and defrauded Global Horizons.
In 2005, Global Horizons had its contractor license revoked by Washington state work place regulators for failing to comply with a settlement reached after various violations of state wage, insurance, and safe-housing laws. The company has appealed that decision in Thurston County Superior Court.
