Class action status is being sought in a suit filed against the Federal Republic of Germany on behalf of former citizens who lived in the country from 1933 to 1945. The plaintiffs are seeking restitution for goods seized during the Nazi regime, goods such as plots of land, buildings, goods, cash and equivalents, which Germany did not return. The plaintiffs claim to have documentation proving ownership of the goods at the time, and they estimate the total value of goods seized by the Nazis during this time to be billions of marks.
