A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the company alleging employee racial discrimination and retaliation. The lawsuit was filed in US District Court, Bridgeport and was assigned to US District Judge Christopher Droney's courtroom in Hartford, CT.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of African American employees and claims General Electric (GE) discriminated against such workers based on their race. Employees allege they were passed over for promotions, paid lower bonuses than white counterparts for doing the same work, assigned lower-level work, and harassed by supervisors.
