Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Franklin Resources Inc., a mutual fund family based in San Mateo, California, Massachusetts Financial Services, which is based in Boston. The suit is being filed by the Nassau County Employees Deferred Compensation Plan, which is a retirement savings plan for about 13,000 current and former Nassau County employees, and alleges that fraudulent trading practices by the defendants has caused some of the workers to lose money.
