A class action lawsuit has been filed against Ford Motor Co. and Magna International on behalf of owners of the following light trucks: Ford F-150, Ford F-250 Super Light Duty, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator and Blackwood, model years 1997 to 2000. The suit seeks to replace latches on about four million light trucks and SUVs in the United States and 300,000 to 400,000 more in Canada. Also named in the suit were Ford subcontractors Magna Donnelly Corp., Donnelly Corp., Dortec Industries, Intier Automotive Inc. and Atoma Latching Systems Group.
