A certified class action lawsuit has been filed against the company on behalf of approximately 700 production employees who worked for Featherlite as of December 30, 2004. Featherlite implemented a vacation policy for production employees that each year provided the employee would receive an allotment of vacation time based on the employee's year's of service. Featherlite changed its vacation policy at least twice and the lawsuit claims employees lost vacation time. The lawsuit also claims Featherlite intentionally failed to pay class members wages under Iowa Code section 91A.3, failed to pay wages which were due under an agreement or policy, breached a contract for the payment of employee benefits, and defrauded members of the class.

On July 3rd, I was told my benefits were cancelled immediatly (I was terminated). On my following checks, not only was I charged, but they took the benefits our before court ordered child support (which was short paid to accomodate the cancelled benefits). Further, I earned three weeks vacation on March 17th. After failing to get paid on the next two checks, I called Home Depot, who told me to wait 4-6 weeks for payment. Today (August 3rd) they told me I only get 30 hours of the 120 hours I earned three months before my termination.
