Estrin-D is marketed as the "first diet pill specifically developed to help menopausal and perimenopausal women lose weight." Estrin-D is manufactured and distributed by Covaxil Laboratories.
Estrin-D's website states that, among other things, Estrin-D (i) "contains a proven hormonal balancing agent shown to reverse mood problems in post menopausal women," (ii) "has been shown in breakthrough preliminary research to reduce the level of ghrelin (the so-called "hunger hormone"), thereby automatically reducing calorie intake," (iii) "increases resting metabolic rate, boosts energy levels and increases stamina in menopausal and perimenopausal women," and (iv) "elevates mood and helps stabilize your hormonal and emotional fluctuations."
A potential class action lawsuit is currently being investigated concerning whether Estrin-D's advertising and marketing claims are false, deceptive or misleading.
