Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Macomb County Department of Senior Citizen Services, the county and former conservators/ex-employees Naomi Mial and Mary Nelson-Pulice on behalf of the families of dozens of elderly or incapacitated persons with estates managed by the defendants. The suit alleges that the estates were mismanaged by the government agency, with records indicating that more than $650,000 in money and assets was suspiciously misspent, went unreported or simply vanished from dozens of estates between March 2000 and spring of last year.
