The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a class action lawsuit against the Port Jefferson Station auto dealership on behalf of female employees for allegedly ignoring sexual harassment claims. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Central Islip against Thomas Dodge Corp., also known as Thomas Dodge Subaru, alleging the company did nothing about pervasive and frequent sexual harassment on the part of the owner, a department head, and a supervisor. The class could include current and former female employees who worked at the dealership since 1998.
