Del Monte

Del Monte, of the country's largest food providers, allegedly underpaid its immigrant workers by cheating them out of their Adverse Effect Wage Rate. Del Monte relies on sub-contractors to file the workers' H-2A visa applications. Guest workers are brought into the U.S. from other countries on special visas under the H-2A program that permit them to work only for the employer who requests them, which is Del Monte, and they were promised and entitled to the Adverse Effect Wage Rate.
