The lawsuit claims De Beers 'cartel' has dominated the market for rough diamonds worldwide, controlling as much as 80% of the world's diamond supply. The class also alleges De Beers used its market dominance to raise the price of rough diamonds three times during 2003 to create a 10% increase in rough diamond prices.
