A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the state alleging civilians posed as state marshals to arrest men who failed to pay child support. The lawsuit was filed in US District Court and claims employees of the state Judicial Branch and the State Marshal Commission did nothing to prevent two civilians, Michael and Raymond Brown, from taking part in the raids.
Michael Brown tired to submit 24 bills to the state, but the judicial department's legal counsel indicated that he had no legal authority to participate in rounding up deadbeat dads.
