Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Craftmatic Organization, Inc. on behalf of California consumers, most of whom are senior citizens or consumers with disabilities or illnesses. The suit alleges that the company has been violating several consumer protection laws and engaging in unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practices in the sale of their adjustable beds. According to the plaintiff's attorney, "Craftmatic employs a wide variety of unfair and deceptive practices to induce elderly, disabled, and ill consumers to buy its products. We intend to force Craftmatic to clean up its business practices in this state."

I was contacted last week about a Craftmatic bed when I had not even asked for info. The real problem was they knew all of my information without me giving it to them. That includes my mothers maiden name, email address, etc. After telling them I have never contacted them, they suggested that my 2 year old son could have submitted the request.
I do not know how they got my name or info, but all of this stuff is getting out of control. These companies have to clean up their acts.
