Canadian Pacific Railway
Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Canadian Pacific Railway on behalf of nearly 900 people. The suit was filed in regards the Jan. 18, 2002 derailment in Minot, ND which caused anhydrous ammonia to spill, forming a vapor cloud, leading to burns, breathing problems, and in some cases death for the plaintiffs. The suit alleges that the company failed to properly inspect, maintain and repair its track.
