Dancers at a Reno, NV strip club have filed a class action lawsuit against police, claiming detectives harassed and unlawfully detained them after citations were issued during a sting operation. The police entered the privately owned Wild Orchid on South Virginia Street without a warrant and cited dancers for allegedly promising to perform sex acts for money and for failure to have entertainer's licenses. The club owners claim the police and city officials are trying to run the club out of business. The suit claims the city of Reno has recently made it more difficult for dancers to get the licenses by raising license fees, no longer issuing temporary licenses, and making dancers wait 60 days for a background check.
