Chicago - A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the city claiming its practice of issuing tickets to vehicle owners whose cars have been photographed committing moving violations violates both Illinois state and federal law. The suit was filed in Cook County Circuit Court and states the city's photographing of vehicles caught running through red lights or other such infractions limits the defenses available to innocent parties, and is in violation of the constitutions of the United States and Illinois.
