Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against San Diego-based fashion retailer Charlotte Russe on behalf of store managers who were employed in California from Sept. 15, 2000, through Sept. 15, 2004. The suit alleges that the plaintiffs were improperly paid overtime pay because although they were classified as management, they spent more than half their time performing non-managerial duties. The suit seeks compensatory wages plus interest for the plaintiffs, penalties and an estimated $500,000 in attorney's fees.
