A class action lawsuit has been filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against Alfalfa's Canada Inc., carrying on business as Capers Community Markets, on behalf of all persons who were infected or exposed to Hepatitis A after eating Capers food products.
The class action suit was filed on behalf of Mrs. Helen Fakhri who became ill after eating food purchased from Capers in Vancouver, BC, in February and March 2002 and was subsequently diagnosed as having been infected with Hepatitis A.
