A class action lawsuit has been filed against Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson on behalf of more than 100 inmates. The suit alleges that the daily rent, medical and dental co-payments, and other fees inmates are required to pay are unconstitutional and unfair. The suit claims that imposing fees on inmates was overruled by the courts in the early 1900s.
