BMO Bank of Montreal

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the bank alleging common law breach of contract, breach of common law duty/agency, conversion, unjust enrichment, and negligence. The lawsuit was filed in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on behalf of all persons who made one or more deposits into their bank account at any time between March 19, 2001 and March 19, 2007 and were not able to access their funds immediately upon such deposit because BMO held their funds. The class action claims BMO wrongfully withheld certain of its clients' funds on deposit.
