Bike Helmets Recalled
Trek Bicycle has recalled two of its bicycle helmets: Anthem C Elite and Anthem C Elite WSD. The helmets do not comply with safety standards for impact resistance and consumers could be at risk for head injuries in a fall. About 4,500 helmets of all men's and women's sizes with the label "Trek Anthem C" which were sold from October 2005 through May 2006 for about $129 are recalled.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Trek advises consumers to stop using the helmets immediately and return them to an authorized Trek dealer for a full refund. Contact Trek Bicycle at (800) 373-4594 or visit [Trek Website].
