A class action lawsuit has been filed against Beelman River Terminals alleging unpaid overtime. The case was filed in US District Court in East St. Louis on behalf of current and former employees. The complaint alleges over the past three years, laborers at Beelman's Venice facility were routinely required to work far in excess of 40 hours per week, including a normal schedule of 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The suit alleges the company violated the Illinois Minimum Wage Law by failing to pay overtime to hourly employees.
