Jim's Market and Locker Inc. have recalled over 5,200 lbs of ground beef after tests detected a harmful strain of the E. coli bacteria. Tests performed by the US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service found a potentially deadly 0157:H7 strain of the bacteria, which is found in cattle's intestines and manure. The meat products were sent to distributors in Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New York, Texas, Wisconsin and Iowa.
