A class action suit has been filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation against the telecommunications giant for opening its key facilities and databases to direct access by the National Security Agency (NSA) and/or other government agencies. AT&T disclosed the contents of its customers' communications to government agencies. AT&T helped the NSA spy on phone calls and other communications of U.S. citizens without warrants. By giving government agencies access to its database, AT&T allegedly violated its customer privacy laws.
