Highline Terrace Apartments

More than 50 tenants from the Denver apartment complex have filed a class action lawsuit related to asbestos contamination. Residents were evacuated in June 2005 and have not been able to live in their homes ever since. The lawsuit was filed against the apartment owner, the renovator and the property manager and claims proper precautions were never taken during the remodeling project. The case alleged the defendants knew there could be a problem with asbestos, but failed to protect the tenants and failed to obtain proper permits for the renovation.

I was exposed to asbestos at David Townhouse Apts in Davis, CA. The previous manager of 20 years Leslie Cordone died of mesothelioma two weeks after I was hired to replace her. The owner continued to year down patios and I reported him to OSHA. OSHA shut down the job and forced the owner and Unger Construction to abate the job after testing the materials. Material testing showed asbestos and lead were being released into the air by Christopher Radcliff an architect, brother Tom Radcliff a state building contractor and Unger Construction.
