Prozac and Seroxat

Researcher from the Cornell Medical Centre in New York discovered men taking antidepressant drugs may become infertile. Men in the study were given Prozac or Seroxat and were followed for two years. The blockbuster antidepressants revealed a possible adverse effect on both the concentration and swimming ability of sperm. All men in the study showed a decreased sperm count while on the medication and some sperm counts dropped to almost zero. The previously unknown effect could be having a significant effect on couples trying to start families.
