A potential class action lawsuit alleges Allstate Insurance Co. cheated claimants by forcing them to accept low-ball offers or face years of stressful, costly litigation. A lawsuit claims that Allstate insurance executives schemed to bully car accident victims -- particularly the poor, the elderly and the disabled -- into accepting unfair compensation for their pain and suffering. According to the lawsuit, the Illinois-based company exerted undue pressure and financial superiority over injury victims. A class action lawsuit could potentially include thousands of Kentuckians who suffered soft-tissue injuries in wrecks with minor property damage.
