A class action lawsuit has been filed against Alameda County Medical Center for allegedly not crediting workers with full pay turned in by their supervisors due to malfunction of its electronically-based payroll system. Employees claim that their hourly rate was less than minimum wage and they were paid for little time in proportion to time actually worked. Officials at the center acknowledged problems with the payroll system. As well, the center' supervisors allegedly retaliate, penalize, and punish people who speak up regarding problems at the centre.
