Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against 3M Co. on behalf of the residents of Cottage Grove, Minnesota. The suit alleges that the company's "Chemolite" plant caused perfluorochemical contamination in the air, water and soil. Perfluorochemicals (PFCs), which are used in the manufacture of Teflon and many other nonstick and stain-resistant products, are known to cause liver problems, testicular tumors, breast tumors, prostate problems, birth defects and reproductive problems. The suit charges the company with breach of duty, negligence and concealment, public and private nuisance and trespass and battery.

My late husband worked at the Chemolite plant and died of lymphoma in 2005. I hear others at that plant died from cancers. I would just like to know if there is a link and cause.
